What does DSD stand for?
DSD is an acronym for Disorder of Sex Development. The definition of DSD is:
Congenital conditions in which development of chromosomal, gonadal, or anatomical sex is atypical.
Are there any medical doctors who specialize in children with DSD, and what is INIS relationship with these doctors?
There are specialized medical DSD teams in all major health regions of Sweden. INIS are invited to hold talks at the annual meetings of these DSD teams. INIS are also invited to hold talks for medical students who specialize in child surgery.
